因潭水清碧如玉，又称“玉泉”。堤岸柳如丝，湖旁建亭宇，林中藏古刹，奇花遍地芳。公园东岸有龙神祠，园内植花卉 500 余种，艳丽多姿，有“玉泉四季花如锦”之誉。湖中的得月楼，有郭沫若先生楹联。公园北端的五凤楼，始建于明万历二十九年（1601 年）。公园内还设有丽江博物馆、东巴文化研究所等机构。
